Pros and cons of Texas Radars app for iPhone and iPad

Texas Radars app good for

This is a great app. It shows real time radar for Tx. You can view all major cities in Tx. Zooming in on a location gives you a great view. Worth the money!
Its fine. Could zoom a little more, but besides that, works well.
I drive a truck at nights across Texas and I can see what the weather is doing even in rural West Texas with this app. Its not fancy but it does a good job.
I really like this, I used it this weekend during very dangerous weather and was able, with the touch of a finger check on family all over the state, and even warn them golfball sized hail was coming their way....Well done, sir... and I dont have to wait for the big computer to fire up so I can check the National Weather service website!
Does what it says it does. Would like to see it get more in depth with more radar technologies, such as level of storm, tornado activity, somewhat like the different radars available on the local tv stations. We had major storms in Texas the other day, and when my satellite & internet connection went down, I still had my Iphone 3g tracking the storms. All in all, a very good start. Keep up the good work!
Works just as said. Very useful to see whats coming. It would be nice if the state wide radar was animated and not just the city close ups. Overall great app if you want a detailed animated radar.

Some bad moments

I really liked for this app to be able enter your zip code instead of just certain cities. I hope to see that in the future updates.
The ground clutter makes this app pretty much unusable. I did not understand the not being able to zoom in complaints. You can zoom in using your fingers just like on a web page. I think Ill probaly use the weather underground app. Its radar is a lot better and it is free, the only draw back is that it is browser based. After using the app. a little longer I would say do not buy it. It constantly has problems connecting to the radar, maybe 75% of the time it does not work.
Dont waste your cash on this app. The resolution is terrible. I live in Corpus and wasnt able to zoom in close enough to get a view that was usefull. All I could see was some radar clutter somewhere around Corpus. I was so disqusted with this waste of a dollar that I couldnt wait to get home, hook-up USB and delete.
This app would be good if it didnt tell you,"oops not connected to the internet," also, if it didnt ask you about your default city every time you clicked on the app... Fix the bugs please, STEVE!!!!!!!
I purchased the Texas Radar and it is unbelievable that I can get radar for every other city in Texas except Austin which not only is the capitol but it is where I live. Thank God this only cost $.99 because if it had cost more I would really be furious. When I click on Austin it tells me that the radar application does not work at this time. This is bull.
Things I liked: it is truly a radar. It shows severe weather (tornado, severe thunderstorms and flash floods). Things that could be improved: Have an option to remove ground clutter and to zoom in more. For San Antonio, you can zoom into Bexar County in the center of the screen but you can also see every surrounding county in the picture too. That gives you an idea of how far in it zooms.
